Portugal’s Feedzai to acquire Australia’s DemystData
Feedzai, the Portuguese company that has developed an AI-native fraud and financial crime prevention platform, is to acquire the Australian company DemystData which has developed an external data management platform, for US$100 million according to sources involved with the transaction.
The acquisition, announced on Wednesday, is the second in Feedzai’s history after it had purchased Revelock in 2021.
The Portuguese law firm Garrigues and US lawyers Cooley LLP are supporting Feedzai with the acquisition.
“DemystData is a company dedicated to data orchestration and integration, and is now part of Feedzai’s strategic plan to unify data orchestration and risk management into a single platform, providing financial institutions with the trusted data, analysis, and artificial intelligence they need to make the best possible risk decisions in real time,” Garrigues said in a statement.
