Mota-Engil doubles securities issue to €95 million

Portuguese construction giant Mota-Engil, which has projects in Portugal, Latin America and Africa, has almost doubled its latest bond issue to €95 million.

The company informed the market of the increase in bonds from an initial €50 million issue – bonds that are linked to sustainability, mature in 2030, and have an interest rate of 4.5%.

The decision was communicated to Portugal’s securities market regulator CMVM with the 190,000 bonds aimed at retail investors.

The minimum subscription rate is €2,500 (five bonds) with each bond worth €500.

The subscription offer has been active since May 7 and will end on May 20. Persons and companies resident or established in Portugal without prejudice to subscription in other EU Member-States, are eligible.

For each initial bond with a 2026 maturity, Mota-Engil will offer, in addition to a new bond with a maturity on 23 May, 2030 and due interest, a €1.25 return “subject to taxes, charges, and other charges.
