Euroatla, a Portuguese transport and logistics company, and Banks & Lloyd (a shipping company) have joined forces to launch a new weekly service between Portugal and the UK.

“This initiative aims to enhance cargo management, simplify international transport, and significantly reduce CO2 emissions, making mercantile transport more efficient and sustainable”, say the two companies.

The two companies point out that with weekly departures, the service “consolidates cargo in Portugal for direct shipment to the main ports” of the United Kingdom, “offering scheduled and reliable departures, as well as a simplified logistics process for shippers”. It is also said that with the structure now established, the two companies “are open to expanding capacity in response to market demand, inviting partners and customers to join and increase volume.”

Euroatla business director, Ana Gonçalves, said that the project “integrates intelligent and collaborative logistics which the company believes in”.

“By working together we’re cutting waste, shortening delivery times, and helping our clients to achieve their environmental and commercial goals.”

For over 40 years, Euroatla has been providing logistics strategies that improve the efficiency for shipping companies, optimising business results, and respecting commitments by land, air and sea.
