Hipoges eyes real estate development companies in Portugal and Spain

Hipoges, a distressed assets management entity for Southern Europe, is looking to buy real estate development companies in Portugal and Spain.

According to Jornal Económico, António Nogueira Leite, the Senior Advisor of Hipoges and President of the Fiscal Board of Finpro Capital, a fund management vehicle mostly held by Hipoges, was speaking about two projects that Finpro has in mind.

Founded in 2008, Hiopoges has a plan to expand to new countries and for vertical growth in its value chain.

Hipoges holds a majority (two-thirds) of Finprop Capital; KPI Hotel Management Services, which is the group company responsible for managing tourism assets; Cobo, a specialist in adaptation, full rehabilitation and facility management for buildings; Domus (an operator specialised in the design and marketing of Real Estate projects); and Finanwin, a credit intermediary that was recently authorised by the Bank of Portugal to operate in the country.

But Hipoges according to the senior advisor, is interested in buying real estate development companies in Portugal and Spain. “We still don’t have anything concrete, but it’s a business we are looking at,” said António Nogueira Leite in an interview.
