Unicorn Factory Lisboa announces finalists for the Entrepreneurship Awards 2025
Unicorn Factory Lisboa has just announced the finalist startups and entrepreneurs for the Entrepreneurship Awards 2025 – an event that pays tribute to the founders, startups, and leaders in the Portuguese startup ecosystem and who have driven innovation and economic growth both in Portugal and overseas.
In all, the winners of seven categories will be distinguished, with the most anticipated award being the ‘João Vasconcelos Award – Entrepreneur Of the Year’, which is awarded to the startup which had made the best progress over the previous year, and which will join four usual categories: ‘Ecosystem Award’, which distinguishes the personality or entity that had made an exceptional impact on the growth of innovation in Portugal, the ‘Best Social Impact Startup Award’, the ‘Best University Startup Entrepreneurs’, and the ‘Unicorn Factory Lisboa – Most Promising Startup Award’ – an award presented to the most promising startup within Unicorn Factory Lisboa’s portfolio of startups.
The finalists are: Cody Candee – CEO and Founder (Bounce); Felipe Ávila da Costa – Co-founder and CEO (Infraspeak); Filipe Nery – Co-founder and Chief Growth Officer (Lyzer); Pedro Henriques – Founder and CEO (BRIDGE IN); Xavier Jameson – Co-founder and Chief Growth Officer (Musiversal).
The other categories are the ‘Youth Startup Award’, ‘Most Impactful Startup Award’ and ‘Most Promising Startup Award and the Rising Female Award’.
“The Entrepreneurship Awards are a unique opportunity to show the importance of innovation for the future of Portugal and recognizes those who a transforming the future of our ecosystem.
This year we introduced two new categories that reinforce the importance of diversity and international expansion as essential drivers for innovation and the economic growth of Portugal”, said Gil Azevedo, CEO of Unicorn Factory Lisboa.
In past years the Entrepreneurship Awards distinguished startups and entrepreneurs which/who today are known internationally in the sector, such as Coverflex, Defined.ai, Barkyn, Powerdot, Sensei and Rauva.
The event will take place on October 23, at the Técnico Innovation Centre located in the Saldanha Innovation District.
