InvoiceXpress launches pioneering AI solution in Portugal that enables the management of entire invoicing process with Claude
A new technology which enables the issue of invoices, recording of receipts, analysis of billing data, and client management using natural language on the Claude AI platform—requiring no programming and adaptable to businesses of all sizes, has been launched by InvoiceXpress.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is one of the first invoicing solutions in Portugal to offer this technology—compatible with the Claude platform—which enables the direct integration of artificial intelligence with business invoicing processes.
In practice, MCP acts as a secure bridge between AI platforms and real-world work tools. Previously, for an AI platform to access and interact with invoicing software, specific integrations had to be developed through programming. With InvoiceXpress’s MCP, that barrier has been eliminated.
From now on, any user can simply chat with the AI platform they already use in their daily routine and request tasks related to their business’s invoicing.
Artificial intelligence can now query information, analyze data, update customer records, issue invoices, and log receipts—among many other possibilities—using natural language commands.
This launch comes amidst a period of rapid AI adoption across the European business landscape. Recent Eurostat data shows that 20% of European Union companies with 10 or more employees already use AI technologies in their operations—a significant increase from the 13.5% recorded the previous year.
Portugal is following this same trend. The latest figures indicate that 11.5% of Portuguese companies with 10 or more employees are already utilizing AI technologies, representing a 34% increase compared to the prior year. Common use cases include process automation, data analysis, and content generation.
Despite the growing use of generative AI tools, many companies still struggle to integrate these solutions with their daily operational systems. InvoiceXpress’s MCP aims to eliminate this very barrier, enabling AI to move beyond a mere support tool and actually execute concrete actions within company invoicing processes.
