Altran launches new AI centre in Portugal

Altran, a multinational which focuses on engineering services and research and development, has launched an artificial intelligence centre to meet the growing market need in these areas.

The 35-strong Portuguese team will operate as a part of Altran’s World Class Centre for Analytics, commonly known as Tessella, joining an international team of 350 specialists in data analytics science.
“If Portugal wants to be on the AI map then it has to invest more in this growing AI and data analysis sector” said the CEO of Altran Portugal, Célia Reis who added that the US, Canada and China were currently leading the way in the sector.

Our clients will benefit from a local analytics team supported by a Tessella global network of talent which supplies the best engineering and consulting in the market” he explains.

The Altran Group offers its clients value added solutions. In Portugal, Tessella, Altran World Class Center Analytics will be present in its offices in Lisbon and Porto with a team of 35 specialists with the aim of recruiting 100 experts by the end of 2019.
