A tower block in Lisbon’s Amoreiras district is to be totally revamped at a cost of €30 million.

‘A’ Tower – Urban Feel’ is the name of the project which will be built over the next 18 months and will offer 34 luxury apartments.
The project from French/Portuguese developer Vanguard Properties will be built by construction firm Alves Ribeiro.
“The building will have 15 floors above ground three floors of underground parking and feature apartments of between one and five-bedrooms.
The residents will be able to use an outdoor roof pool (16th floor) and an indoor heated pool, SPA, gym, garden and concierge service.
The project involves the conversion of an office building into housing in a project designed by the architects Saraiva + Associates and will be defined by a contemporary architectural design featuring a mix of prime luxury materials.
The result should be modern, cosy and sophisticated with dynamic lines and boasting spacious verandas with views over Monsanto Park and the city centre.
The project will also feature a gigantic mural on one of the exterior walls by an up-and-coming local artist.
According to José Cardoso Botelho, managing director of Vanguard Properties, “The ‘A Tower’ project will provide quality, exclusivity, an excellent location and exceptional views.”
Vanguard Properties has become of the biggest overseas developers to have entered the Portuguese market since the financial crisis of 2008-2014 which saw many local developers founder.
Founded by French developer Claude Berda and José Cardoso Botelho, both have a vision and experience in the ‘property yield and development segments.’
In October 2018, Vanguard Properties and Amorim Luxury purchased 1,380 hectares of land held by the closed Herdade da Comporta Fund- FEIIF for a luxury lifestyle development in an area of the Alentejo that has already been dubbed “The Hamptons of Portugal”.
