Real Estate personality awards of the year

Magazine Imobiliário announced the Portuguese Real Estate Personalities 2019 Awards on Thursday at the 6th gala event held at the Hotel Vila Galé Collection Palácio dos Arcos in Oeiras.

The publication distinguished Eugénio Sequeira with the Merit Award and Hugo Santos Ferreira, Rui Marques, João Roquette and Ana Mendes Godinho in the categories of Real Estate, Construction, Environment and Tourism respectively.
Eugénio Sequeira, who currently is the Advisor to the National Council of the Environment and Sustainable Development said that the award gave him “even more impetus in the fight for the sustainability of the planet which is becoming increasingly urgent with each day that goes by.”
Hugo Santos Ferreira picked up the Personality of the Year Award for his tireless dedication to the Portuguese Association of Real Estate Investors and Developers (APPI) in promoting the industry both in Portugal and overseas and said he was “honoured and proud” to receive the award.
Rui Marques, CEO of HCI Construções SA, picked up the award for Construction who called it a “recognition for someone who has been in the sector for 40 years.”
João Roquette, CEO of wine producer Esporão took home the award for Environment Personality of the Year while in the category of Tourism Personality of the Year the gong went to the Secretary of State for Tourism, Ana Mendes Godinho who was not present to pick up her award on account of being at an event in Russia.
The event marked the 6th anniversary of Magazine Imobiliário at which it was announced that the next Real Estate Oscars would be held on 5 March 2020.
