Ombria Resort: work starts on Viceroy Residences

Work has started at the Algarve’s Ombria Resort on the construction of the Viceroy Residences.

The residences, which will be integrated into the Viceroy Hotel will be completed in 2022 with the project awarded to Construções Gabriel Couto S.A.
The Ombria Resort, a sustainable luxury real estate tourism development will open its first phase to the public at the start of 2022 with the building of the first branded residences ‘Viceroy Residences at Ombria Resort’.
There are 61 T1 and T2 apartments managed by the US 5-star hotel chain Viceroy Hotel Group. These apartments are integrated into the Hotel Viceroy at Ombria Resort which includes 76 luxury rooms and suites, 6 restaurants, pools, spa, gym, kids club and astronomical observatory.
The Ombria Resort which will bring in a tax windfall of around 153 million by 2030 will grow in the coming months. In addition to the Hotel Viceroy and the Viceroy Residences, the Conference Centre and Golf Club House in an investment of €100 million — a phase that includes 95 other units, the resort infrastructure and an 18-hole golf course. The total value of the investment from the Finnish group Pontos to complete the project is €260 million.
