Portuguese Startup Heptasense wins Proptech competition

A Portuguese startup which has developed software solutions in the security area through human behavioural recognition and video analytics has won the 2019 CBRE Proptech Challenge.

Heptasense was the winner of Proptech Challenge, a challenge thrown down by real estate consultants CBRE.
The Proptech Challenge is the first European competition whose objective is to identify digital talent capable of revolutionising the real estate sector through innovative and disruptive ideas.
With the digital transformation taking on an increasingly important role in the real estate sector, CBRE has been upping its investment in finding unique solutions capable of bringing added value to the market.
Startups today have a major role in Portugal’s economy and have transformed it in some areas, with a growing number of dynamic technology companies emerging and prospering.
According to data published in the annual ranking of British magazine “Wired,” Portugal currently has 10 startups to watch for from a list of the 100 most promising startups in Europe.
