Property consultants JLL Portugal says that house sales have been continuing through March and beyond despite the Covid-19 pandemic and State of Emergency.

Since 13 March it has completed 10 new house sales with contacts exclusively being undertaken online.
The consultant tells Díario Imobiliário that the entire residential sales team along with the rest of the company is working under remote working regime which has already been under operation since 2019 to give staff the opportunity of working one day a week from home.
Patrícia Barão, Head of JLL Residential told the online site “we are adapting to a new reality, a crisis which is so challenging in all areas of our lives and we are very proud to be able to keep the business alive just by using contacts and digital tools. It represents a reflection of the disruptive spirit and a strong focus on technology which has always characterised JLL,” she said, adding that it was also proof that the residential market was one of the most resilient segments within the current context.”
JLL indicted that one thing that was new in the online sales process had been virtual house viewings using “live streaming” which allowed clients an up close and personal contact with properties while at the same time ensuring Government guidelines for social distancing during the pandemic.”
“In an increasingly digital and global world and with clients all over the world this allows us to save our clients’ and investors’ time as well as enhancing the work of our teams”, says Patrícia Barão.
