Amorim Luxury, the company owned by Paula Amorim, has invested a further €2.5 million on Lisbon’s main luxury shopping street Avenida da Liberdade.

It brings the total investment from the daughter of Portugal’s cork king Américo Amorim, to around 24.5 million invested over the past few years.
With the ambition to grow Portugal’s luxury market, Paula Amorim has been following a long-term strategy, believing in the long-term position that Lisbon and Portugal could have as a unique international luxury destination.
Amorim Luxury has just launched a new shop for the Italian brand Gucci on Avenida da Liberdade in Lisbon with around 300m2 spread over two floors. The AL group already has been representing the brand for eight years and has, in the past, achieved the world record in terms of sales per square metre.
The shop, in Tivoli Forum on Avenida da Liberdade, represents a €2.5 million investment began in 2019. Through this investment Amorim Luxury reinforces its position “Food Meets Fashion” with the top-end bar and restaurant brand JNcQUOI, and exclusive fashion and lifestyle brands with shops such as Fashion Clinic, Dolce & Gabbana and now Gucci.
The Amorim Luxury Group led by Paula Amorim and Miguel Guedes de Sousa has now invested around €25 million in Avenida da Liberdade’s Luxury Hub.
The group is also involved in luxury and lifestyle property developments such as the Herdade de Comporta on the Alentejo coast in which it is partnering with Vanguard Properties.
