Portugal’s fine office paper producer Navigator Company has announced that it will hike the price of non-coated photocopy, print and writing paper by between 10% and 15% from 3 January with its price list being valid for just two months.

The company added that the price rise would involve all of its UWF products and would include a €50 surcharge increase per tonne that had been announced in October, bringing the total surcharge to €100 per tonne.
Navigator stressed that the “industry has faced continual and variable additional cost increases, particularly in energy and logistics, which is also leading to increases in the majority of other goods which the industry relies on such as chemical and packaging products.
“Reflecting on the volatility of current market conditions, the surcharge will be reviewed monthly and the price list will have a maximum validity of two months”, states the company.
At the start of November the company announced that it would increase the price of toilet paper and serviettes by 10% from 3 January.
The Navigator Company sells products to 130 countries on five continents under the brands Navigator, Pioneer, Inacopia, Discovery, Soporset, Target and Inaset.
