AGEAS Tejo scoops two awards at Portugal Property Oscars

AGEAS Tejo was voted the ‘Best Development of the Year’ and ‘Best Office Development’ by an independent jury at this year’s Portugal Property Oscars organised by Magazine Imobiliário.

With over 200 guests, the gala event took place at the Vila Galé Sintra Resort Hotel Conference & Spa at which the leading lights in the Portuguese property sector were gathered to hear the winners, mingle and network.
The Portuguese Property Awards distinguish the best developments across several categories that were built in 2021.
The ‘Best Development of the Year’ was handed to AGEAS Tejo, in Lisbon. Avencas Ocean View Residences took the trophy in the ‘Housing’ category, while Famalicão Municipal Market won the award for ‘Best Public Amenity’. Ageas also Tejo took home the ‘Best Office’ award and Eurostars Universal won in the ‘Tourism’ category.
The winner in the new category ‘Interiors Project’ was bagged by Hotel Vincci Ponte de Ferro.
The jury comprised Paulo Silva, Head of Country at Savills, Hugo Santos Ferreira, President of the Portuguese Real Estate Developers and Investors (APPII), Carlos Mineiro Aires, engineer and ex-president of the Portuguese Engineers Association, architect Mário Sua Kay, Rui Meneses Ferreira, president of the Portuguese Association of Residential Tourism and Resorts, Paulo Santos, ADENE – Agency for Energy Systems Management and Certification, and Joana Rodrigues, Director of Architecture at Savills Portugal.
This year the jury decided to award three Honorary Mentions: one in the ‘Housing’ Category and two in the ‘Amenities’ category which were handed to MGC 720, the Kerakoll Industrial Unit and the Grândola Municipal Archive and Library respectively.
The Rehabilitation Award went to the António Augusto Aguiar 23 building while the Sotheby’s International Realty Award went to the Jardim de S. Mamede development.
The ‘Award of Excellence in Efficiency and Sustainability’ a partnership award between Magazine Imobiliário and ADENE – Agency for Energy, went to Lumnia.
In 2023 the Portuguese Real Estate Oscars will celebrate 25 years and Magazine Imobiliário is already preparing a very special edition to celebrate the anniversary.
