Sonae Sierra opens largest shopping centre in south-east Europe

Portuguese international shopping centres specialist Sonae Sierra has opened the largest mall in south-east Europe.

The Prishtina Mall which is located 10km from Pristina, the capital of Kosovo, covers a gross leasable area of 115,000m2 with over 3,500 parking spaces.
Responsible for managing what it says is the “largest shopping mall in south-east Europe, Sonae Sierra had started a services consultancy collaboration with the Prishtina Mall in the areas of leasing and operations in March 2022.
“A short time after, it assumed the complete management of the project which was competed in just eight months in a collaboration with a local team and 100 commercialisation contracts, enabling Prishtina Mall to open with an store occupation rate of 81%”, according to the company led by Cláudia Azevedo.
“In March we were hired to provide consulting services for one of the largest shopping centres in Europe, and our partner rapidly understood the added value of a deeper collaboration.
“This effort shows Sierra’s commitment to create value for our clients’ assets through specialised teams, as well as for expanding brands that also have faith in our know-how in international management”, says Cristina Santos, Executive Director Property Management Sonae Sierra.
