4 new Vila Galé hotels to open

The Portuguese hotel group Vila Galé is to open four new hotel units in Portugal in 2023; one of them aimed at families with children.

Two hotels are near Beja in the Alentejo, one in the Azores, and the other in Tomar. Other hotels are slated to open 2024: Vila Galé Paço do Curutêlo, in Viana do Castelo, and the Vila Galé Collection Sunset Cumbuco, in Brasil.
The agrotourism hotel Vila Galé Monte do Vilar (Beja) is scheduled to open in April on the same estate as the current Vila Galé Clube de Campo where the company produces the Santa Vítoria olive oils and wines.
The group will open the Vila Galé Collection São Miguel in the Azores in June after a renovation of part of the building which housed a branch of the religious charitable institution Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Ponta Delgada which had been a convent and hospital.
The Vila Galé Collection Tomar is expected to open in June in part of the former Santa Iria convent and girls’ school in a €10 million investment.
The Vila Galé NEP kids is the group’s latest concept totally designed around kids accompanied by their parents. Scheduled to open in June, this hotel is in Beja, near to the Vila Galé Clube de Campo.
