Lisbon house prices rise 7.7% to March

The prices for houses for sale in Lisbon rose again in the first quarter compared to Q1, 2022 by 7.7% in March according to Confidencial Imobiliário.

Compared to Q4 of 2022 asking prices in Lisbon rose 1.9%. Prices in the capital are following the national trend after prices stabilised in the last half of the year.
Nevertheless, Lisbon did not see such sharp increases in asking prices as in the wider Lisbon Metropolitan Area in Q1 of 2023 where they hit 15% in most boroughs and 20% in five, headed by Setúbal at 25.5%.
In the first quarter of the year, the average asking price in Lisbon was €4,203/m2 according to SIR-Residential Information System – the sixth consecutive month in which the residential sales market was above €4,000/m2.
