Vortal opens new Lisbon office

Vortal, the Portuguese company which developed an innovative electronic purchasing platform for public and private contracts, has inaugurated a new technology innovation hub where innovative market and AI intelligence solutions for the national and international market are to be developed.

The new office is in Green Park and was opened by the Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Administrative Modernisation, Mário Campolargo who said that Vortal represented “a paradigm for Portuguese companies for developing innovative solutions and being export focused”.
“Today the Lisbon office is a centre of excellence for innovation and 40% of the sales from the Vortal group are aimed at the overseas market”, said CEO Jorge Macara who was appointed in June.
The company currently has around 330 staff of which 200 are based at its Lisbon office, 25% of which are exclusively dedicated to the design and development of new solutions for overseas, particularly in the Scandinavian countries and Switzerland.
Vortal is a worldwide leading company in eSourcing and eProcurement solutions. In its cloud e-Marketplace, thousands of public and private buyers connect every day with an international community of qualified suppliers.
Its platform brings together more than 350 000 users from public and private sectors, which represents more and better opportunities for both buyers and suppliers.
