Mota-Engil issues €60M in securities

The Sino-Portuguese construction giant Mota-Engil today launched a securities offer for up to €60 million of bonds worth €1,000 each aimed at institutional investors.

The new issue ‘Bonds Linked to Mota-Engil Sustainability, with a nominal unitary value of €1,000, will “finance its current activities and international expansion, as well as supporting its strategy to diversify its sources of financing and extent the maturity of its debt to better align it with cash-flow generation”.
In a communiqué sent to the Portuguese securities commission CMVM, the group led by Carlos Mota Santos, said that the offer will take place between November 27 and December 4 with Haitong Bank acting as global coordinator and financial intermediary for the transaction.
In the first nine months of the year the construction company registered a business turnover of €4Bn and profits of €51 million. In 2022 its turnover has been just below €3Bn.
