Bright International School Algarve is the latest school to be acquired by the international schools managed by the Sharing Education Group.

Located in Loulé, the school still called the Eupheus International School was inaugurated in 2019 becoming a benchmark education establishment in the region, with solid foundations on which the Sharing Education Group now intends to build and raise the education and amenities bars to new heights.

In line with the vision of the group, this rebranding and official transition to the new name reflects the school’s commitment to foster a brilliant and inspiring environment for pupils, teaching staff, parents and the community in general.

Miguel Ladeira Santos, CEO of the group said, “We have designed improvements for the Algarve school concentrated in three key areas — academic perfection, investment in infrastructure
(Sporting facilities, art, science, music and media laboratories) and the creation of sports and performing arts programmes. At the same time we’re planning the renovation of three buildings that will enable us to increase the number of students by around 200”.

To accompany this process and carry out the pedagogical coordination of the project, the new Bright International School Algarve will have the support of Tom Caston as a board member, who comes from the British schools group MPW Cambridge, and who had a vast experience in the leadership of schools with the Cambridge curriculum.

Bright International School Algarve will join two other schools that are part of the Sharing Education Group: International Sharing School Madeira, which from the next academic year will have a new address, which will also include a residential area for students, teachers, researchers and digital nomads, and already has around 250 pupils from 30 nationalities; and International Sharing School Taguspark, integrated in the largest science and technology park in Portugal, in Oeiras Valley, and currently has over 700 pupils and over 60 nationalities, and also currently has an ambitious expansion plan at its current campus.

The Sharing Education Group’s educational establishments are the only international schools operating in Portugal to take children from 4 months to 18 years, from the cradle to secondary school levels respectively.

They operate with IB programmes, and in the case of the future Bright International School Algarve, with the Cambridge curriculum.
