This agreement between the two companies foresees the acquisition of 18.7% of three wind farms – Ventominho, Arga, and Espiga – and 15.9% of the São Paio farm, all of which are in the Minho region in the north of Portugal, bringing in a total of 353MW.

This is added to the acquisition by Finerge of 50% of four wind farms – Arada, Montemuro, Pinheiro and Cabril – in Aveiro and Viseu, with 191MW.

All told, Finerge will have a total installed capacity of 2,133MW in Portugal and Spain.

Finerge currently operates 86 wind farms and 17 solar parks in 59 municipalities in Portugal and in six provinces in Spain.
