WIRE launches mentoring to support professional development
Women in Portuguese Real Estate (WIRE) has launched a mentoring programme to help young professional women develop their skills in a sector that is predominantly led by men in Portugal.
In an interview with property magazine Vida Imobiliária, Patrícia Barão, director of WIRE and responsible for the Mentoring area, and Celma Almeida, one of the founders of the association and also responsible for the same area, explain that “mentoring is one of the basic pillars of WIRE due to the relevance it assumes in leaving positive role models for future generations.
WIRE’s Mentoring Program was created to support the professional development of young women in real estate and construction with the main aim of boosting professional development, overcoming specific challenges in the sector, fostering leadership skills, promoting equal opportunities, and expanding contact networks within a totally trusting and stimulating environment for the mentees.”
