Automotive market falls 5.4% to February
Portugal’s vehicles market fell 5.4% in the first two months of the year, with around 40,000 new vehicles put on the road, according to data from the Automobile Association of Portugal. (ACAP)
By category, in the period under review, registrations of light passenger vehicles totaled 33,967, a decrease of 6.3% compared to the same period last year. Until February, 65.8% of new passenger cars registered were powered by other types of energy, namely electric and hybrids.
In turn, the light goods vehicle market increased 6.3% to 5,046 units. Heavy vehicle registrations reached 988 units in the first two months of the year, a drop of 23.1% compared to the same period last year.
