Sonae’s Bright Pixel Capital, which has made around 60 investments in start-ups to date, has participated in a US$7.2 million investment round in the US technology start-up FlowFuse – a company involved in industrial digitalisation enabling companies to modernise their operations through a scalable low-code automated solution.

This financing, led by Senovo and with the participation of investors Uncorrelated, Westwave and Open Core Ventures, will allow the tech start-up to accelerate the development of its product, “simplifying the extraction, transformation and use of industrial data, enabling organisations to develop robust and integrated applications for their digital transformation”.

FlowFuse was founded in 2021 by Nick O’Leary, co-creator of Node-RED, and Zener-Jan van de Weg (one of the first collaborators in GitLab), and has a commercial Platform-as-a-Service (PaasS) that simplifies the implementation and management of large-scale Node-RED in IoT industry applications.

Nick O’Leary, Co-Founder and CTO said: “This financing will allow us to fully achieve our vision which involves not only supporting Node-RED, but actively improve its use experience and expand its capacities to a platform for totally integrated industrial data.”
