Swiss Chamber of Commerce opens Porto office

The Swiss-Portugal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCISP) officially opened its North of Portugal Delegation with a strong institutional and corporate presence on May, 26.

The event took place Porto City Council’s main ceremonial hall, the Salão Nobre in the presence of  Switzerland’s Ambassador to Portugal, Denis Knobel, the Mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira, several councillors and council officers, the representatives of official institutions, members of the CCISP and many representatives of Swiss companies in the North of Portugal doing business in Portugal and Portuguese companies doing business in Switzerland.

The setting up of the CCISP’s North of Portugal Delegation represents a strategic milestone in consolidating economic and institutional relations between Switzerland and the North of Portugal, bolstering the CCISP’s commitment to foster partnerships, investment, and bi-lateral cooperation at a regional level.

The event also provided an opportunity to highlight the economic drive in the North of Portugal and the growing interest of Swiss companies in the region.
