Portugal now has a platform which shows all the information about national startups.

Startup Portugal reached an agreement with portal Dealroom and from this week data about the number of startups, investors and staff is now available.
The platform was made public on Friday on the same day that the European Union sign up to creating all the necessary conditions to help start and evolve new technology companies.
According to the platform Dealroom, there are 2123 startups registered in Portugal that employ around 25,000 people.
Up until now, Startup Portugal had a data base that only had information about financial and other support for setting up new companies.
The Startup Nations Standard aims to create a best practices manual and an index of excellence for the creation and development of technology-based companies. This document contains specific recommendations at a public policies level with a view to fostering entrepreneurism at a European level and turn the EU into an ecosystem of more competitive startups.
Creating a startup for less than €100 in one day via the Internet or in person is another of the main objectives of this initiative.
