Startup World Cup Portugal reveals 50 startups selected for 2026 competition

The Startup World Cup (SWC) Portugal has just revealed the 50 startups selected for the 2026 edition of the competition, which will take place on June 17th and 18th at Unicorn Factory Lisbon.

The grand winner of this stage will represent the country in the Grand Finale in Silicon Valley (San Francisco) in October, where a direct investment of US$1 million will be at stake.

The Startup World Cup, the largest global startup competition, is promoted by Pegasus Tech Ventures.

In addition to the possibility of representing the country in the world final, the Portuguese startups will also be eligible for a potential investment of up to €1 million from Caixa Capital, the venture capital company of Portuguese bank Caixa Geral de Depósitos.

The investment may be made in one or two participating startups, with the decision being made independently by Caixa Capital, in accordance with its investment strategy and subject to the respective evaluation and due diligence processes.
