Santander startups community boasts 400 companies

The Santander X 100, a community of startups, scale-ups, and SMEs created by Banco Santander through its global platform Santander X, has reached 400 high-growth companies from 11 countries.

These countries specialise in strategic sectors such as artificial intelligence, software development, sustainability, cybersecurity, digital health, and Industry 4.0. The announcement was made by Banco Santander.

The bank announced that the Santander X 100 community, upon reaching the milestone of 400 high-growth companies, consolidates itself as “one of the largest international networks of startups, scale-ups, and SMEs dedicated to strategic sectors of the new economy.”

The initiative, created through the global Santander X platform, already brings together 191 startups, 156 scale-ups, and 49 SMEs from 11 countries, all selected from thousands of international applications for their capacity for innovation, scalability, and response to major current challenges.

The companies that make up the Santander X 100 operate in more than 20 key sectors, notably artificial intelligence, software development, sustainability, cybersecurity, digital health, and Industry 4.0. Together, they are responsible for creating thousands of skilled jobs. Portugal is represented on the list with 13 names, including Agentifai SA, Aromashop, Code for All, FiberSight, Go Power, Infinite Foundry, JLC Energy, Lampsy, Smartex Europe, STARKDATA, Torpedo – Serviços de Informática, Ubbu and YORBA.

Many of these companies have already attracted private investment, expanded internationally, and formed strategic partnerships in areas of high investor demand, such as sustainability, eHealth, fintech/insurtech, edtech, and cybersecurity.
