PRIME SCHOOL INTERNATIONAL: Prime School launches Loving Every Child, a benchmark reference on its Prime SEN™ inclusive education methodology

Prime School International has announced the launch of ‘Loving Every Child – the Prime SEN™ Pedagogy’, authored by Edite Reina Costa.

A methodology developed in Prime School classrooms places the school at the forefront of inclusion and academic excellence in the international educational landscape

The work systematises, for the first time in a single volume, the Prime SEN™ (Special Educational Needs) methodology, a pedagogical model built over years of practice in an international educational context and based on a simple conviction: an education designed to respond to diversity benefits all students.

More than a set of strategies, Prime SEN™ is an educational philosophy that places the person at the centre of learning and demonstrates that academic excellence and emotional well-being are not opposing goals, but inseparable dimensions of the same vision.

Developed within the Cambridge curriculum framework, the methodology maintains high academic expectations, while recognizing that the paths to achieving them may be different for each child.

A comprehensive work, from Preschool to 12th grade

Across more than 350 pages, the book follows the student’s development at all stages — from Early Childhood Education (3–5 years) to Years 12–13 (16–18 years) — and dedicates specific chapters to profiles such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, language disorders, high abilities and dual exceptionality, emotional regulation and anxiety.

The methodology is based on recognized scientific foundations, integrating the contributions of Reuven Feuerstein (cognitive modifiability), Howard Gardner (multiple intelligences), Daniel Goleman (emotional intelligence) and Russell Barkley (executive functions), among others. The work also includes real-life transformation cases, practical tools for teachers and families, guidelines for teacher training and inclusive leadership, and a complete Prime SEN™ glossary.

Prime School as an authority in inclusive education

With campuses in Lisbon (Alvalade), Estoril (Alapraia) and Sintra, and a community that brings together more than 67 nationalities, Prime School International establishes itself as a benchmark institution in the articulation between Cambridge academic rigor and truly inclusive educational practices. The launch of Loving Every Child consolidates this positioning, sharing with the international educational community a model that was born from the daily experience of its classrooms.

“No child can be reduced to a difficulty, a diagnosis, or a label. Prime SEN™ was born from the conviction that each student needs to be seen before being evaluated, understood before being corrected, and supported before being demanded of,” says Edite Reina Costa, author of the work.

“This work reflects what we defend daily at Prime School: that inclusion and excellence go hand in hand. By sharing it, we want to contribute to more humane educational communities, better prepared for the world,” emphasizes [Name, Position], from Prime School International.
