AEP tests Singapore Market with 10 firm

The Portuguese Enterprise Association (AEP) is attending two trade fairs in Singapore until 27 April: The Food & Hotel Asia Singapore and Prowine Asia, fairs dedicated to the food and drinks industry, catering equipment for hotels and restaurants, food processing, ingredients and packaging.

The companies that comprise the AEP delegation are Frigocom (Refrigeration equipment), Icel (Cutlery), Ferneto (Food industry machinery), RST (Machinery, drinks and tobacco), Joper (Machines and technology for the coffee sector), Vieira de Castro (Biscuits and cookies, toasts and cakes), Panike (Cake and pastries), Cerealis Internacional (Pasta foodstuffs, couscous and other), Quinta Vale d’Aldeia (Wines and liqueurs) & Quinta de Caíz (Wines and liqueurs). Of these Icel, RST, Fricon and Ferneto are already in the market.

Running twice-yearly, the 2016 edition of Food & Hotel Asia welcomes 72,000 visitors, 3,000 exhibitors from 60 countries.

PROWINE ASIA welcomes 257 wine producers from 30 countries, 8,000 visitors, of which around half come Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines.

Despite the impact of the economic crisis of 2008, since 2010 there has been a bounce back in economic growth, overtaking some countries like Brazil, Russia and South Africa.
