Prestigious international flamenco ballet troupe “Ballet Flamenco Sara Baras” will perform “Sombras” this evening (Friday) at the Estoril Casino.

Starting at 10pm in the Casino’s Black and Silver Room,  Sara Baras brings a lineup of experienced dancers with her in a show which mixes traditional Spanish flamenco and contemporary dance.

Coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the “Ballet Flamenco Sara Baras” “Sombras” (Shadows) represents a journey through time in which traditional choreography is blended with modern moves and techniques through which colour, silence, agitation, the crowd and loneliness are interpreted through dance and a play of light and shadows.

The invited artists include  dancer and choreographer José Serrano and violinist Ara Malikian. “Sombras” also involves designs by Anadalucian painter Andrés Mérida and texts by Santa de Yepes.

For those of a less classical persuasion, join the music, fun and crowds in Lisbon’s Terreiro do Paço Square for the Grand Final of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest from 8pm. The finalists and eventual winner will be beamed on massive screens in the square in what will no doubt prove to be an unforgettable night for up to 10,000 fans, locals and tourists.
