Luxury Design & Craftsmanship Summit

The Luxury Design & Craftsmanship Summit will be honouring both luxury design and Portuguese ancient crafts at an event in Gondomar, around 15km east from Porto, northern Portugal, this month,  bringing together some of the country’s most influential figures in luxury design and craftsmanship.

Sponsored by the Covet Group , the event will take place on June 20 and 21, and will give the audience the opportunity to know more about the luxury design industry and to discover how design can be a driving force of local craftamanship.

Speakers include the Michaelangelo Foundation, Luis Buchino, the Storytailors and Boca do Lobo, who will share their lessons on craftsmanship and luxury design.

Other key speakers include CEO and designer Luis Onofre, Marketing and External Design Director at Vista Alegre Nuno Barra, and Product Designer Toni Grilo, among many others.

There will be live showcases, with artisans and craftsmen working with filigree, ceramics, embroidery, azulejos (tiles), leaf guilding and wooden patchwork among other arts.
