REVPAR in Lisbon up 13% in the first half of 2018
Lisbon hotels saw a 13% increase in receipts in the first half of 2018 according to the Lisbon Tourism Observatory (OTL).
RevPAR (Average Price per Available Room) per night increased 13% to €84:70. In this index, three-star hotels saw the greatest increase with 21.2%, followed by four-star units with 13.5% and five-star hotels with 7.3%.
Regarding the Average, from January to June there was a 12.2% increase which recorded an average price of €108:06. The occupation rate saw a slight increase of just 0.6%, maintaining at 78.38%. Occupation rates in five-star hotels fell back 2.4%.
As to hotel units in the Lisbon Region, occupation rates climbed 1.2% to 74,93% while the Average increased around 12% at €103.43. Overall, the RevPAR in the Lisbon region increased 13.2%, standing at €77:51.
