Madeira’s Savoy Palace to open in June

The latest hotel in the Savoy Hotels & Resorts group, the Savoy Palace, will officially open in June 2019.

The five-star resort hotel in Funchal will have 309 rooms, 43 suites and 10 pool suites as well as a presidential suite with pool. The resort will also boast a 2300 m2 spa, five pools (including an infinity pool on the roof of the building), five restaurants, eight bars, eight conference rooms with a capacity of up to 1000 persons.

The interiors are being designed by Madeira interior designer Nini Andrade de Silva and by RH+Arquitectos with a design that pays homage to the island.

The new hotel unit will boast ocean views and, in addition to traditional markets, has also been aimed at the US, Brazilian and Russian markets.

The hotel will be a member of The Leading Hotels of the World and aims to become a European leader and reference in Portugal and the Madeira region.
