SWORD Health wins US$8 million round from Khosla Ventures

SWORD Health, the Portuguese technology startup that has created the digital physiotherapy system to combine Artificial Intelligence with physiotherapy teams has just won a round of seeder investment from Khosla Ventures worth US$ 8 million.

The Series A investment round will enable the startup to consolidate its expansion in the United States, further develop the engineering capacities of its products and invest in its clinical validation.
Khosla Ventures was set up by Vinod Khosla, co-founder of Sun Microsystems, it is one of the most important venture capital companies in Silicon Valley.
The investment round led by Khosla was also supported by other business angels and investors.
SWORD Health aims to sell its Digital Therapy in the homes of more and more patients after recently proving that its SWORD programme is more effective in patient recovery than conventional physiotherapy.
SWORD Health is already working with some of the best insurers in the United States to treat and prevent musculoskeletal problems. The final goal is to reduce costs from such illnesses in the United States while at the same time providing a better qualify and more comfortable therapy for patients.
