Greenfest comes to Braga in June
Greenfest, the largest sustainability festival in Portugal, will be held in Braga between 6-9 June 2019.
Greenfest is the national stage for showcasing and sharing best practices, ideas and projects to do with sustainability.
It will be the first time Greenfest will be held in Braga where the three-day event will take place in the stunning setting of the Tibães Monastery.
This year’s themes are renewable energy and water. In the second half of the year the festival will hold a special edition from October 17-20 at the Campus of Nova SBE in Carcavelos near Lisbon.
Water is a vital resource which needs to be used carefully and conserved. The two editions of Greenfest 2019 will be an ode to this magnificent expression of nature.
This year’s programme will be diverse and multifaceted, including and exhibition area, and spaces for conferences, informal sofa chats, workshops, live demonstrations, show-cooking, biological and artisanal markets, music, live performances and many other activities.
Greenfest is the largest sustainability event in Portugal where the best practices in Environmental, Social, Economic and Cultural sustainability is celebrated.
It is a platform for sharing ideas and experiences, covering current trends and contributing to providing greater visibility to the projects and initiatives from companies, institutions and citizens that care about a sustainable future.
The growing trend for Smart Sustainable tourism projects is the subject of a conference organised by the Ireland Portugal Business Network on Thursday 30 May.
‘The Future of the Algarve: Circular Economy & Smart Sustainability Development’ will be held at the Vale d’Oliveiras Quinta Resort & Spa, Carvoeiro.
