Portuguese startups discuss future of hotel sector

A consortium of startups comprising B-Guest, Climber RMS, Hi Jiffy, InfraSpeak and VPS which aim to support the digitalisation of the hotel industry in Portugal, will debate the sector’s future next week.

With the goal of fostering debate around technology in the hotel business and its real impact, Hotel-Up is organising a round of conferences that will run in four cities in Portugal and the islands.
The conferences under the theme “The Hotel Industry of the Future: Innovation, efficiency and results”, will take place on 18 September in Porto, at the Porto Innovation Hub; 25 September in Lisbon at Lisbon Tourism School and on 8 October in Albufeira at the Lídia Jorge Municipal Library and on 16 October in Funchal at the Deanery of Madeira University.
Each round will feature guest hotels that will share their experiences using technological innovations and contribute to the discussion.
