The CEO of  Portuguese office solutions company Maleo believes that flexible offices are now the future in the new normal of the post Covid-19 world.

The belief comes as the national office company which offers full-serviced office spaces, prepares to open its fifth office space after investing around €3 million this year alone.
This new office space with around 1,200m2 is located in East Lisbon at Parque das Nações, the former Expo 98 site.
The space is divided over two floors. The company’s projects are equipped with virtual office services, meeting rooms, business lounges, a reception team, and logistics and technical support.
During the pandemic, Maleo opened office space in Rua Mouzinho da Silveira 10, Lisbon, in a prime city centre location right by Avenida da Liberdade.
“Despite the constraints of 2020 which affected everyone, we decided to affirm the Maleo brand” says Nuno Condinho, COO of Maleo, who believes that in general companies will follow a strategy based on the need to change organisational habits and the links between physical space and staff.
“We wanted to come up with a flexible solution since creativity and cooperation continue to be indispensable,” he adds.
All told, the five serviced offices that Maleo manages cover around 12,000m2 with offices at República 18, Saldanha (Lisbon), with 6 floors (around 2,800m2), and Liberdade 245, with 3 floors (2,000m2), Lisbon, Castilho 52, Lisbon, (4,000m2) and Mouzinho da Silveira 10, Lisbon (2,000m2).
To these are now joined the new Maleo Business Centre in Parque das Nações this November with an investment of €4 million.
Maleo’s flexible offices integrate around 150 companies (including the corporate offices of various SMEs – around 75%) with a high occupation rate of 80% and a preferential demand from companies with 4-6 people, as well as one-company occupiers employing 50-60 staff, in a concept of made-to-measure whereby Maleo increases its space offer as companies grow.
