Portuguese EU Presidency

One of the top priorities of the Portuguese Presidency is to promote a European recovery leveraged by climate and digital transitions.

Accelerating digital transformation at the service of citizens and businesses and accelerating the digital transition as an engine of economic recovery and promoting European leadership in digital innovation and economy, is a unique opportunity and responsibility for the members of European Parliament and Commission but also for us all businesses and citizens.
There are challenges that must be addressed.
The digital transition should work for all, putting people first and opening new opportunities for business; we need to make sure the digitisation happens in an ethical, inclusive and sustainable manner; that all citizens have access to ubiquitous high capacity broadband and have trust in the security and privacy of their online engagements.
We need rules that are harmonised and we want that our cities are greener, our transport smarter and our healthcare better.
