The Spanish hotel group Vincci will open a new €29 million 94 room hotel in Vila Nova de Gaia near Porto.

The group already has two hotels in Lisbon and one in Porto so this will be its fourth hotel unit in Portugal.
The 4-star hotel overlooks the Douro river and is next to the city’s famous Luis I bridge. Called the Vincci Fonte de Ferro, it is right on the Serra do Pilar escarpment and comprises various buildings, the main containing the reception, lobby bar and suite.
The property one housed port wine cellars but now houses the majority of the hotel’s rooms and its gardens.
A new building operates as a bridge that links the various buildings and also features rooms, distinct restaurant areas, a meeting room, gym and esplanade with an outdoor pool boasting stunning rooms,” states the Vincci group.
Located between Rua Casino da Ponte and Rua Cabo Simão, the hotel has three bars Miraponte Bar, Terraço 6 Ponte Sky Bar and Adega Wine Bar.
The group opened Vincci Porto in 2015 and also have the Vincci Baixa and Vincci Liberdade in Lisbon.
