Portugal construction fair opens today – SIL property fair tomorrow

Tektónica – the Portugal International Construction Fair and the SIL Portugal Property Fair open their turnstiles today and tomorrow respectively.

The annual trade and sector fairs organised by FIL (Feira Internacional de Lisboa) are dedicated to construction and property sector professionals. They run parallel in order for delegates, exhibitors and the public to make the most of common synergies.
Tektónica opens its doors today (6 October) and runs until 9 October. SIL starts tomorrow and runs until Sunday 10 October.
Tektónica – The Portugal International Construction Fair – attracts a strong international component of delegates from all over Europe and indeed, the world. Among the highlights this year is the ‘1st Portugal Housing Forum – Senegal’ on 7 October between 10am and 1.30pm in a joint initiative from the Embassy of Senegal in Portugal, CCIPSIAO – Senegal and West Africa Chamber of Commerce and the AIP Foundation and AICEP Portugal Global.
The Round of Tektónica Conferences is another highlight at Tektónica 2021, conferences which focus on topics and challenges that the sector is currently facing: Competitiveness, Sustainability and Resilience in Construction, with a top calibre panel of speakers, moderators and professionals from the sector and national economy.
Organised over three days, the Round of Tektónica Conferences are: ‘Construction and the Circular Economy’ (today), ‘Efficient Products and their contribution to Functionality and Sustainability’ (7 October) and ‘Digitalisation, Quality and Competitiveness in Construction’.
Tektónica will have around 100 exhibitors while SIL will feature around 100 companies and a programme focused on debate and sector trends.
SIL will feature the SIL Investment Pro conference in partnership with the APPII and APR on 7-8 October which a focus on current topics and trends faced by the real estate sector in Portugal and overseas. These include: ‘The role of Portuguese Residential Tourism in the (government’s) ‘Kickstart Tourism|Build the Future Plan’’ on 7 October from 10am, ‘Sector Professional Views and Measures to Simplify the Urban Planning Process’ on 7 October from 3pm, and the Future of the Real Estate Sector – Tax Burden v More Housing Supply and The View of International Investors on 8 October 8.
Also in the case of SIL, the Winner of the SIL Awards will be announced on 7 October at 7pm. The awards aim to recognise the best projects and developments from the Portuguese real estate sector, whether from national or international developers and investors.
Tektónica will give out awards for the most innovative services and products in Construction with the Tektónica Innovation Awards 2021 on 8 October from 4.30pm.
Although the two sector fairs are aimed primarily at companies, entities and professionals in both interlinked sectors, the fairs will also be open to the general public who are interested in buying and selling properties or finding solutions to modernise/refurbish/build their homes.
