Taguspark incubator in startups call

A startups incubator based at Portugal’s largest science, technology and business park, Taguspark, has issued a call or more new fledgling businesses in the areas of technology, the life sciences and sustainability.

Applications are open until the 31 December 2021 and will be followed by an evaluation phase after which the projects selected will be invited to join the incubator in April 2022 when it celebrates its 10th anniversary.
The Taguspark incubator, otherwise known as the ‘City of Science’, is based at the technology park in Oeiras, a 20-minute drive-time from Lisbon.
It has launched a fresh call for these new startups in the sectors mentioned, and those involved in sustainability.
Portuguese and foreign entrepreneurs who wish to transform their ideas into “real companies” or who already have a company that is ready to be “accelerated or internationalised” may apply for a place at the incubator by the end of the year.
“The expectations are high, and we feel, through our contacts with companies and entrepreneurs, that there are many innovative ideas that were put on ice because of the challenging and unpredictable recent situation. (Covid-19)
“With this call, we aim to boost three important clusters: sustainability (the Blue Economy), information technology (Robotics and Automation) and life sciences (Health, Biotechnology and Pharma)”, explains Taguspark CEO Eduardo Baptista Correia.
The campaign for this call to action is based on the question: “Is this startup ready for takeoff?”.
Startup applications can be made up until 31 December 2021 on the Taguspark website and those selected will be informed that they can join the incubator in April 2022 – the same month when the Taguspark incubator celebrates its 10th anniversary.
