NTT Data is to create two technology hubs in Porto

The move follows the company’s creation of three data hubs in Braga, Castelo Branco and Coimbra that are all already up and running.
Both of the new hubs will follow a flexible employment or hybrid model which will be based on the “commitment and trust of each employee”.
“Throughout this year the company expects to create a further 10 hubs in Portugal. “We plan to create more than 10 of these hubs during the current year, preferentially in small to medium size population centres, fostering a strong link to education institutions, the companies network, and entities of a social nature located there.
“In this way we gain a territorial network and make a contribution to the development of these localities”, says Paulo Silva, partner and head of emerging business areas and delivery models at NTT DATA Portugal.
NTT DATA is the 6th largest IT services company in the world. Based in Tokyo, it has 140,000 professionals and operations in more than 50 countries.
In 2013, the company acquired Madrid-based Everis, a company that provided IT services including consulting, system integration and outsourcing.
