Lisbon Nº2 for five-star tourism

Lisbon has been selected as the second-best city in the world for ‘five-star tourism’ behind Athens which came in first.

According to Money.co.uk the ranking took into consideration reviews and ratings on travellers sites such as Tripadvisor and analysed the best rated cities when it comes to hotels, restaurants, nights out, and things to do.
The website states that 15.8% of its overall tourist offer had top traveller scores (an average that includes hotels, Michelin-starred restaurants, attractions or nightlife).
The website highlights the ‘imposing São Jorge Castle overlooking the beautiful pastel-hued streets of Lisbon’ and the Museu Nacional do Azulejo’. The city is also known for ‘its excellent food and is within walking distance of several beaches’.
