House prices soar 14% in Q4
House prices in Portugal increased by an average of 14% to €1,355/m2 in the last quarter of 2021.
According to the Portuguese National Statistics Institute (INE), it was an increase of 14.1% like-for-like on the 2020 and 12.2% more than in the last three months of 2021.
And the price increases were across the board for 23 of the 25 sub-regions which Portugal is divided into for property market purposes or NUTS III* as it is referred to. (*A nomenclature which divides the country into three population, administrative and geographical areas)
