RE/MAX grows 19% in best Q1 ever

The estate agents RE/MAX, the largest in Portugal, grew 19% in the first quarter of 2022, its best Q1 ever.

It enjoyed a volume of prices totalling €1.7Bn for 19,669 transactions, 76.7% of which were for property sales.
The company, which in Portugal is led by Beatriz Rubio who holds the franchise, ended the quarter with a 19.1% increase in transactions and a 31% increase in volume of prices when compared to the same period in 2021 for a sector that continues to be buoyant in Portugal and in which RE/MAX grew across all activity indicators.
The Portuguese continue to be the main buyers or renters of properties, representing 79.8% of all transactions for the period. The second largest group in terms of transitions were Brazilians (6.5%), followed by Americans (1.5%), and French (1.2%). But purchases by Americans grew 143.3% in terms of transactions like-for-like.
“The first quarter of the year was marked by growth and buoyancy across our network, with increases in all activity indicators. For the first time we exceeded the historic milestone of 10,000 agents and in three months closed almost 20,000 transactions which shows that our agents are increasingly recognised for their excellence in seeking out opportunities and solutions for our national and international clients”, says Beatriz Rubio.
