The Portuguese telecoms operator NOS enjoyed profits of €41.1 million in Q1 of 2022.
It represented an increase of 34.6% like-for-like on 2021. Consolidated revenues increased 10.6% like-for-like to €373.4 million.
Consolidated EBITDA grew 4.8% to €159.4 million like-for-like according to the company’s quarterly financial report released on Tuesday by the Portuguese stock market commission CMVM.
“We’re going through challenging times, with the effects of the pandemic still being felt, and with the pressure that the conflict in Ukraine has caused, but this has not diverted us from our course. We continue to work on expanding our networks, in diversifying our offer and improving the customer experience”, says NOS CEO Miguel Almeida in the report sent to the CMVM.
Miguel Almeida said that the quarter would be marked by the “continued increase in investment, largely channelled towards rolling out 5G technology which we have aimed to set the lead for the start, and the continued expansion of our Gigabit network, which has already reached 5.1 million homes all over the country”.
Communication services reached 10,393 million with net additions of 88,000 in the first three months of 2022.
