Investment funds with €16.9 million

Investment funds in Portugal currently have €16.9Bn under investment, down 4.3% on May.

Sonae had the largest investment with 11.3% of the total invested and monthly growth of 0.1%. This was followed by Jerónimo Martins whose funds under management enjoyed a monthly growth of 4.7%, and Altri whose value fell 1.2% on May.
The overall amount invested in funds under management totalled nearly €17Bn, €771.5 million less than in May.
Regarding alternative investment funds (AIF), the monthly amount under management fell 1.6% to €316.1 million, according to the latest data from the Portuguese stock market commission CMVM.
The value invested in shares fell 3.4% (national shares) and 5.4% (foreign shares) compared to the previous month.
Investment in public debt fell 11.2% (national) and 4.4% (foreign). The value applied to bonds fell 1.9% (national) and 4% (foreign).
Germany was the main investment destination for UCITS (Undertakings for the Collective Investment in Transferable Securities) in June (21.8%) of total funds applied, followed by the US (17.8%) and France (10.2%). Portugal absorbed 4.9% of total investment.
The asset management companies with the largest market share were Caixa Gestão de Ativos (35.7%), IM Gestão de Ativos (21.3%) and BPI Gestão de Ativos (17.1%).
