Lince Capital, a Portuguese independent venture capital company, has led a seed investment round of €1 million in Portuguese startup BestHealth4U.

BestHealth4U is focused on R&D for medical solutions and materials for medical devices which are used on the skin.
Created in 2017 by Sónia Ferreira, the startup has a management team made up of highly specialised professionals in the area and is currently focused on its groundbreaking product – an adhesive material that sticks to the skin using the skin’s own natural characteristics.
The processes and products used in the manufacture of the adhesive are sustainable to produce a product of premium quality compared to competitors on the market.
The investment made by Lince Capital was done through the Lince Innovation Fund and will enable further development on the innovative product until its completion, as well as financing its marketing and preparation for its launch onto the market.
The investment will also be used to hire professionals essential to its new marketing and commercialisation phases.
BH4U, which as won various awards in Portugal, Europe and the US, has already received interest in its medical device products from several multinationals.
Sónia Ferreira, CEO of BestHealth4U explains: “I created BH4U because I myself felt the problem that the continuous use of medical adhesives can cause and we know that our products have real potential in the market because of the great interest we have received from the large companies that are working in these areas”.
